Renewal Partners focuses on follow-on investments in portfolio businesses. We are making few new investments, and those that are considered must be in operating companies with existing revenues.

Investments cover a broad range of industries, representing a cross section working towards a triple bottom line society: food, shelter, communications, education, nature and environment, "green" consumer products, and the social screening business and financial services required to sustain them all. We focus on sectors we think may be under-served by most financing sources.

Renewal Partners expects investments to be profitable within a reasonable number of years realistic to their industry. We determine a reasonable return on a case-by-case basis, balancing the rate of financial return with the social benefits the investment may yield.
