2200 sq.ft. open concept warehouse/office with a 2500 sq.ft. green roof available in Vancouver's Stratcona as of November 1st

Are you a small progressie company looking for rental space in Vancouver? Then you are in the right place!

2200 sq.ft. open concept warehouse/office with a 2500 sq.ft. green roof and 13' high exposed wood beam ceiling available November 1st, 2009 at 121 Heatley. Also known as the Blueberry Building, 121 Heatley is a single level, open concept warehouse/office that would be ideal for a progressive organization or a green business. It's located on the corner of Heatley and Alexander, right in the heart of Strathcona, Vancouver's emerging green zone.

The Blueberry Building has a 2500 square foot green roof that enhances local biodiversity and naturally regulates the building's temperature ear round. There's also 100 ft of deeper planter boxes that are erfect for growing vegetables. The green roof can also be used as a powerful marketing tool to help underline the values of the company that maintains it. We've even installed a mason bee apartment on the exterior wall.

121 Heatley is part of an emerging sustainability hub in the downtown eastside, known as the Strathcona Green Zone. It's a network of progressive organizations that includes both Saul and myself with Eclipse Awards and Saul Good Gift Co, as well EcoApparel, One Planet Catering, the Strathcona BIA, and the Greener Cleaner. There are numerous design firms here as well as a growing cluster of textile companies. We're working to develop a community that values collaboration over competition.

The Blueberry Building would be ideal for a small progressive organization that's looking to plug into a larger business community. It would also be suitable as a small hub for several innovative businesses or non-profits.
