Abigail E. Disney

Abigail Disney is a filmmaker.  Her first film, a feature-length documentary called Pray the Devil Back to Hell which tells the inspirational story of the women of Liberia and their efforts to bring peace to their broken nation after decades of destructive civil war, was named Best Documentary Feature at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival and was short listed for an Academy Award.  She is also involved in producing a number of other documentaries with social themes, and is developing a four-hour project for WNET/Wide Angle called Women, War & Peace.

Play BIG, an invitational think tank for people with large capital reserves, was created in recognition of the unique role individual wealth holders can play to support social and environmental innovation. Play BIG participants gather as peers and colleagues to help advance their ability to effect change with their resources and to support each other in their work.
