Last week, at the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship, the Obama Administration announced the U.S. Government's support for B Lab's Global Impact Investing Rating System ("GIIRS"). 

GIIRS will facilitate the flow of impact investment capital to entrepreneurs who use business to address the world's most challenging problems.  

Paul Richardson, President of Renewal2 Investment Fund, is pleased to announce the first close of the Fund at over $16 million. Renewal2 is one of a handful of funds in North America that focus on companies which have positive environmental, social and financial returns.

With funding from the Skoll Foundation, Renewal friend Cathy Clark and Greg Dees have launched a three-year project at Duke to explore how social entrepreneurs' business model choices can maximize social impact.
