Learn how to integrate social and environmental concerns into purchasing. Participants work with the tools (specifications, questionnaires, contract clauses) to request information from suppliers, and methods to evaluate and measure impacts.

This is part of the Sustainability Purchasing Network 2008 Learning Events Series:  Connecting Organizations to Buy Smart and Foster Economic Sustainability

SPN Workshops are half-day training events that combine learning modules with local speakers who demonstrate best practices in sustainability purchasing. Workshops focus on information and techniques to start or deepen your organization's practices in sustainability purchasing. Qualified facilitators will lead you through interactive discussions, case studies, and strategic problem-solving exercises on a variety of sustainability purchasing topics. Most valuable of all, participants will network and learn from their peers during these interactive sessions.

"The SPN's Reducing Carbon Emissions Through Purchasing Workshop was run in a collaborative manner that allowed a diverse amount of experience and perspective to be leveraged. It resulted in a greater educational experience."
- Maxwell Sykes, Holland Barrs Planning Group
