Net Impact Vancouver is excited to continue its Live Case Study events. If you aren't familiar with a Live Case Study - this is an opportunity for business professionals and students to contribute directly to a local social enterprise or non-profit.

Our contribution is two-fold:

  1. Event participants will learn about a business challenge being faced by the profiled organization, as presented by the CEO or Executive Director. You will then be asked to provide your ideas and recommendations for addressing this challenge.
  2. All proceeds from the event go to the profiled organization! This event features JustWork's JustRenos - a Vancouver social enterprise providing employment opportunities to people with barriers by offering renovations and painting services.David Holcomb, JustWork General Manager and Jeff Dyck, JustRenos General Manager will present their business challenge as a social enterprise: "Who should be JustRenos' customers, what are the key marketing messages, and what are the next steps in creating a marketing strategy?"

To kick things off, we will have a panel of highly respected social enterprise and marketing experts to offer their points of view.

Our panel for this event includes: -

  • David LePage, Program Manager Enterprising Non-Profits (ENP)
  • Elizabeth Lougheed-Green, Manager of Strategic Programs, Vancity Community Foundation
  • Keith Sashaw, President of the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA)
  • Alice Sundberg, Co-chair of the Greater Vancouver Regional Steering Committee on Homelessness

We then turn things over to you in a fast-paced, facilitated session to get your input, ideas and recommendations for JustRenos!

Doors open at 5:30pm. The event begins promptly at 6pm and ends at 7:30pm. Refreshments and snacks will be provided by W2 Media Cafe. All proceeds from this event (from your $20 or $30 contribution) will go directly towards supporting JustWork's social enterprises to provide employment opportunities to people with some kind of disability or working barrier.
