ethicalDeal is Hiring Freelance Copywriters!

ethicalDeal, Vancouver’s GREEN deal-a-day site, is hiring freelance writers to craft write-ups on our featured businesses! Each write-up expresses what makes the experience and the business compelling. If you haven’t already, check out ethicalDeal Vancouver to get an idea of what we do.

Write

To date, we’ve been doing the write-ups. While we can spend 3 hours trying to find the perfect words, we’ve decided to outsource to the professionals so that you can work your magic!

Every day ethicalDeal features a write-up describing the deal with thoroughly researched, informative selling points that range from the straightforward to the fun, witty, and bizarre. We strive to avoid clichés going instead for vivid descriptions that appeal to the five senses, are rooted in complete transparency, and embellished with well-crafted absurdities. We also like to play on our GREEN theme.

This position writes the first three paragraphs that explains the deal, which we refer to as the description. Freelance writers would not be required to compile the reviews that appear below the description or write the content in the “Why” or “Did You Know” sections. The description section must achieve two things: first, it must clearly explain the deal and present compelling imagery of what the customer experience will be; second, it must be entertaining to read and void of marketing clichés.

Experience is a plus, but not necessarily required if you have compelling samples. ethicalDeal writers are held to a high quality standard, and must show the ability and willingness to generate a high volume of copy.
